Hunting FAQ's
Hunting season at Sebaka runs annually from 1 May to 31 August. Hunting outside of these dates is not permitted unless specifically authorised by reserve management.
Yes. Every hunt is conducted under the supervision of a Professional Hunter (PH) who guides the hunt, provides shot placement guidance, and ensures ethical and safe hunting practices. Hunting without a PH is not permitted.
Yes. Guests may bring their own rifle provided Sebaka is informed in advance, the original firearm licence and a copy are presented on arrival, and the rifle is fitted with a mandatory silencer. If these requirements are not met, a rifle can be hired from Sebaka.
Yes. Rifles are available for hire and remain under the supervision of the Professional Hunter throughout the hunt. Ammunition is charged separately.
The animal fee includes skinning, freezing, and cutting the carcass into transport portions. Delivery can also be arranged at an additional cost if required.
Yes. Self-catering guests are welcome to hunt, however all hunting must be arranged with Sebaka Head Office before arrival and remains subject to Professional Hunter availability. Hunting cannot be organised once you have checked in.
Yes. Sebaka operates as a 100% Halaal and alcohol-free private game reserve. All hunting is conducted in accordance with ethical hunting principles, Professional Hunter supervision, conservation management, and Shariah-compliant slaughter procedures.
