OUR POLICIES, RULES AND REGULATIONS

Check-in:

  • Check-in - 14h00, for all stay-in accommodations

  • If you arrive earlier and your room is not ready, please be patient and your room will be ready as soon as possible.

  • Late arrivals past the usual check-in time must be communicated with the head office so that arrangements can be made.

  • Should you need to confirm an earlier arrival time, please contact head office in advance. Early check-in is chargeable and guest to notify head office in advance.

  • A valid form of identification (ID, driver's license) will be required upon arrival as verification.

  • Sebaka will make every effort to honour special requests (cot for baby, specific apartment, etc) made by guest/s upon arrival, however, we can not guarantee that the requested item or apartment will be available, unless requested far in advance.

 

Check-Out

  • Check-out is at 10h00, for Sebaka Lodge.

  • If a late check-out is required, our managers should be notified before 10 am on the day of departure. A late check-out will only be possible if there are no guests arriving on the same day.

  • Any delay on check-out will result in an extra night being added to the final bill.

 

Reservations:

  • Reservations can only be held for 4 hours once the invoice has been issued. Thereafter, the dates will be cleared. If a guest wishes to keep dates for bookings in their name, a 50% deposit will be required in order to hold the dates.

 

Accommodation:

  • The amount of people per apartment (self-catering lodge) and room (group/family lodge) is clearly stated on our website and sent to guests when bookings are made. We ask that guests adhere to the number of persons allowed.

  • Guests are not allowed to bring blow-up mattresses to sleep extra persons in an Apartment or Room. By request, the lodge will have extra beds (only if space allows) placed in the rooms on request through head office. Self-catering accommodation does not allow any extra beds in apartments.

 

Payment Methods:

  • Note that in order to reserve your booking, a 50% deposit is required. EFT and Cash payments are accepted. Full payment is required before arrival for accommodations. An invoice will be sent to guests once payments are made as confirmation of funds received.

  • Hunting payments will be added to the final bill after hunt is completed. Guest is allowed to settle account in cash or EFT. A receipt will be sent to guests once confirmed with head office.

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • Any accommodation is subject to cancellation if a deposit has not been made.

  • Last-minute cancellations (72 hours and less) will result in a penalty of 25% of full accommodation price.

  • We ask that guests notify head office at least 72 hours before arrival of any cancellation, this way a full refund can be made to guests without any penalties.

  • Sebaka reserves the right to change dates of bookings made, guests will be contacted in this regard and arrangements will be made for new dates.

 

Alcohol and Drugs:

  • Our property and all facilities are fully Halaal and therefore alcohol and drug-free. Any offenders will be prosecuted and asked to leave the property immediately. A fine will apply in accordance to the amount of substance found.

 

Smoking:

  • Smoking is prohibited in all apartments and rooms. Guests are allowed to smoke on balconies and outside areas.

  • Smoking on game drives are not allowed. There is a stop provided during the game drives where guests will be allowed to smoke.

  • Please note that rooms are checked by management before check-out and a R300.00 penalty for smoking will be charged for cleaning. Smoking in the rooms causes the linen, towels, curtains and other fabric to smell which can result in other guests arriving feeling extremely uncomfortable.

 

Cell Service and Internet Access:

  • Unfortunately due to the location of our lodges, we do not have the best cell service. Research has been done, and we have tried our level best to make it possible for guests to have communication with the outside world.

  • CELL C and MTN will pick up minimal amounts of cell service within the lodge areas, Vodacom however, has proven difficult.

  • There is no Wi-Fi or plug-and-play internet service at the lodges as it has proven difficult and extremely costly to run such cables to the facilities.

  • For any emergencies, our managers are in contact with 2-way radios to the lodges and there are telephone lines at the Manager’s residencies and main lodge. These can be used by guests, we ask that one requests the use of these telephones from the managers.

 

Parking: 

  • Undercover parking is provided for all our guests at both lodges. Additional parking is provided at our self-catering lodge for those travelling with more than 2 vehicles.

  • Guests are asked to use parking spots allocated to their apartments so as to not cause any inconvenience to other guests.

 

Pets:

  • Pets are not permitted on our premises, or in our rooms and apartments.

  • Small reptiles and other species are also not allowed to be taken off the property or kept by any guests as we are a nature reserve and should leave nature as is.

 

Rates

  • Local and International rates are charged differently.

  • Local rates include only that which is part of local packages.

  • International rates are inclusive of extras (airport transfers, etc) that is not part of local packages, therefore, if an international guest books as a local guest, we will not be responsible for extras that are inclusive in international packages.

 

General:

  • Sebaka Private Game Lodge always puts our guests first in comfort and experience. We pride ourselves on giving the best and making sure that we do what is in our means to make our guests happy.

  • Our lodge is unique in its own way and this uniqueness is sometimes difficult to explain. Therefore we ask our guests that have stayed with us, to please give their honest reviews via email, WhatsApp, social media or any other platform as this will benefit the lodge greatly.

  • We ask that all guests please adhere to the rules and regulations in order for your stay to be enjoyable. The only bumpy rides we expect to have during your stay are during the game drives.
